A game of midnight golf seems an unlikely prospect to many enthusiasts and few golfers have experienced this delight. Victory for Ragnhildur at Pinehurst!!!

Three Icelandic ladies competed in the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, a tournament where 8 US University teams competed: Eastern Kentucky, Richmond, Gonzaga, Boston University, The University of Lousiana at Monroe, Longwood, Bucknell and Southern New Hampshire. The tournament took place at Pinehurst no. 8 in North Carolina, March 14th-16th 2018. Guðrún Brá in the footsteps of Eddie Pepperell

Guðrún Brá Björgvinsdóttir, from Golf Club Keilir in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland is taking part in the Patsy Hankins Cup. The tournament takes place on March 8.-10. 2018 at the Doha GC, in Qatar. As everyone knows Eddie Pepperell won the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters tournament on the European Tour at the same location. Especially memorable is the bogey he got at the 400 m, par-4 12th hole there. Guðrún Brá stepped in Pepperells footsteps as you can see on the main photo accompanying this article. LET: Valdís Þóra in 3rd Place at the Ladies Classic Bonville in Australia!!!

Icelandic professional golfer, Valdís Þóra Jónsdóttir, from the Golf Club Leynir in Akranes, Iceland, had a marvelous result at the Ladies Classic Bonville in Bonville, New South Wales, Australia. The tournament took place at the Bonville Golf Resort, February 22nd-25th 2018. The following is taken from the Iceandic Statistics: The analysis of naming practice in Iceland shows that: *only 200 given names (eiginnöfn) account for the names of almost 80% of the male or female population *more than 35% of people less than 30 years old inherit some of their grandparents’ given names.
