After the 3rd day of the Icelandic Championship in Stroke Play has come to an end there are three hot, young players in the lead.<\/p>\n

Vald\u00eds \u00de\u00f3ra J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir, GL. Mynd: Golf 1<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n

In the Women\u00b4s flight it\u00b4s\u00a0Vald\u00eds \u00de\u00f3ra J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir<\/strong>, GL and Texas State, who has a 1 stroke lead on\u00a0Tinna J\u00f3hannsd\u00f3ttir<\/strong>, from Keilir Golf Club. Vald\u00eds \u00de\u00f3ra is former Icelandic Champion in Stroke Play 2009 and after a rather dissapointing last year, she seems to be back in form, since aside from leading in Iceland\u00b4s biggest and most venerable tournament, she recently became Club Champion of her Club, Golf Club Leynir (GL), in Akranes. \u00a0In a short interview with Golf 1 Vald\u00eds \u00de\u00f3ra vowed to do her best tomorrow in winning back the Championship title in Stroke Play.<\/p>\n

Two are leading in the Men\u00b4s flight\u00a0Haraldur Franklin Magn\u00fas<\/strong>, from Golf Club Reykjav\u00edk (GR), our current Icelancic Champion in Match Play and Club Champion of GR and\u00a0R\u00fanar Arn\u00f3rsson<\/strong>\u00a0from Keilir Golf Club. \u00a0Both have a combined score of 5 under par each, after the 3rd day of the Icelandic Championship in Stroke Play.<\/p>\n

Haraldur shot the lowest score of the tournament today a magnificent 64! In that round he a.o. carded 2 eagles.<\/p>\n

Haraldur Franklin is attempting to win the title for GR, since 27 yrs. have gone by without anyone from GR claiming the Men\u00b4s Icelandic Championship title in Stroke Play. The last GR Champion was\u00a0Sigur\u00f0ur P\u00e9tursson<\/strong>\u00a0in 1985. \u00a0Haraldur Franklin was firm in a short interview with Golf 1 about his intentions of winning the Championship title for GR tomorrow.<\/p>\n
